Xavier Echon: The Ten Percent

Picking people’s brains is one of the things that I actually really enjoy. Whether that is through podcasts, watching interviews, conversations, etc. I’ve been thinking about interviewing people for awhile now and this is my first one. I definitely have a lot to work on on my side of things. So if anything, excuse things like my camera shutting off, the poor lighting, etc. Those are for me to worry about though.

For my first attempt at an interview, I sat down and spoke with Xavier Echon. X is someone I have been wanting to talk to for quite some time now and once you hear his story, you’ll understand why.  Before starting the interview, we actually only spoke for about five minutes as I was setting things up. Other than that, our conversation was our first time talking other than just texting and through social media.  Check out our conversation below:

I took away quite a few things from our conversation. The most obvious one to me is centered around the idea that we often take our blessings for granted. We take for granted the simple things like being able to speak, hear, walk, and other things that we would be considered to be basic.

I took away quite a few things from our conversation. The most obvious one to me is centered around the idea that we often take our blessings for granted. We take for granted the simple things like being able to speak, hear, walk, and other things that we would be considered to be basic. This also applies to the people in our lives. We become so accustomed to having certain things and people in our lives that we often forget to realize how important each aspect of our life really is.

Another key point that really stuck out to me was the idea of peace. When things take an unexpected turn in our lives, we have to learn to be at peace with what is going on and realize that there is only so much that we can do and control. One of the things that I have been thinking about the past few weeks is that we can always do more, but we can’t do it all. Do what you can and focus on what you can control.

Those are just two of the many, many ideas and keys that I took away from this conversation. I want to know what you guys took away. Leave a comment with what you took away or even just leaving some words of encouragement for my guy X.

X, thank you for being an inspiration to me and so many other people around you. You truly do have great things ahead of you. Keep pushing. FXCK CANCER.
